$2,049Come live and work in an historic building with a ton of Chinese history. The Kim Wing building was essentially taken down to the studs and completely remodeled in 2017 and is basically next to new with over 100 year old brick walls. The Kim Wing Building at 228 1st Street is one of the most historic buildings in Marysville's Chinatown. Originally built one block from the gold rush era waterfront in 1857, the Kim Wing Building was the residence and storefront of the illustrious Kim Wing, a civic leader, entrepreneur, and head of a growing family in Marysville's Chinese Community. As Kim Wing's business grew, the building did too, with a second story and the current Victorian facade, which features an ornamented parapet with dentiled cornice and frieze of patterned bricks, added in 1913. The bricks were fired at the Sacramento Ben Ali Brickworks using clay harvested in Lincoln. The metal balcony has been one of the best viewing locations for Marysville's Bok Kai Parade and Bomb Day festivities for more than 100 years.
